Ingredients
Built with ceramides, humectants and lightweight emollients to support lasting hydration, softness and everyday barrier care.

Barrier Balance Moisturizer was designed around a simple formulation principle: hydration lasts longer when water binding ingredients, supportive lipids and emollients work together.
The formula is lab tested and created for daily use, with a silky texture that spreads easily and settles without a greasy finish.
A lipid system inspired by the skin barrier
Ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids
The outer skin contains an organised mixture of ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids. Ceramides represent a large proportion of these barrier lipids and play an important role in limiting water loss.
Barrier Balance Moisturizer includes ceramides NP, AP and EOP alongside cholesterol and supportive fatty acids.
These ingredients do not physically rebuild the barrier on contact or become identical to the skin’s own lipids. Their role is to support the lipid environment associated with moisture retention and surface comfort.
Ceramides are well established barrier ingredients, but their performance still depends on concentration, ratio and the complete formula.
Hydration from more than one humectant
Glycerin, sodium PCA, hydroxyethyl urea and hyaluronic acid
Humectants help increase water within the outer layers of the skin.
Glycerin has extensive evidence supporting skin hydration. Sodium PCA is part of the skin’s natural moisturising factor, while hydroxyethyl urea contributes water binding benefits without necessarily creating a heavy texture.
Hyaluronic acid adds further surface hydration and can improve the temporary appearance of smoothness and plumpness.
Using several humectants does not mean that each one hydrates a separate skin layer. The advantage lies in building a balanced water binding system with a comfortable afterfeel.
Ectoin for environmental support
Ectoin is a molecule produced by microorganisms that survive extreme environmental conditions.
Topical studies have associated ectoin with improvements in hydration and measurements related to water loss, although results depend on the concentration and formula tested.
Within Barrier Balance Moisturizer, ectoin is included as part of the hydration and comfort system, particularly for skin exposed to shifting humidity, indoor cooling and everyday environmental stress.
Any concentration specific or clinical claim should remain aligned with the actual amount used in the finished formula.
Softness without unnecessary weight
Squalane, isoamyl laurate and lightweight emollients
Squalane is a stable emollient related to squalene, a natural component of human sebum. It helps soften roughness and improve flexibility at the surface.
It should not be described as universally non comedogenic or guaranteed for every acne prone skin type, since pore clogging potential cannot be determined from one ingredient alone.
Isoamyl laurate and other lightweight emollients contribute slip, spreadability and a smoother finish.
Together, they help the moisturiser feel cushioning without relying on a dense or waxy texture.
Lightweight does not mean less moisturising. It describes how the formula behaves during and after application.
Comfort supporting ingredients
Panthenol, allantoin and tocopherol
Panthenol has clinical support for improving hydration, softness and measurements related to moisture loss. It is also frequently used in products intended for dry or easily irritated skin.
Allantoin contributes skin conditioning and soothing support.
Tocopherol, a form of vitamin E, acts primarily as an antioxidant within the formula and may also support its emollient character.
These ingredients can contribute to comfort, but they do not guarantee that no user will experience irritation.
